Advancing Technical Excellence: srcLogic’s React Cohort
Written By: Aziz Abousam
One of the great features of Pega is its flexible and adaptable architecture, which allows developers to seamlessly integrate a variety of technologies to address the diverse and evolving needs of our clients. This adaptability allows us to incorporate popular technologies and cutting-edge front-end frameworks, such as React, into our Pega-based applications.
React is a JavaScript library that uses elements called components to build user interfaces. By incorporating React, we can harness the strengths of both platforms: leveraging Pega’s robust and comprehensive business process management (BPM) capabilities alongside React’s ability to create modern, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces. This integration not only enhances the functionality and user experience of our applications but also ensures that they are scalable, maintainable, and tailored to meet the specific demands and expectations of our clients.
At srcLogic, we encourage our team members to enhance their Pega expertise by adding complementary skillsets. We launched an exciting React cohort this past spring to expand this expertise and share knowledge across the company. The primary purpose of this cohort was to enhance our technical capabilities and empower our teams to deliver more innovative solutions to our clients. Participants of the cohort would also strengthen their individual skill set by gaining hands-on experience of building a fully functional React application, fostering both their professional growth and career advancement.
At the end of the cohort participants delivered a demo to showcase their projects. This culmination allowed everybody to see the progress made by their colleagues and a platform to receive feedback from their peers. As project demos ranged from Pokémon to Harry Potter to all things about Books, the range of projects not only displayed the technical skills gained but also the creativity and innovative thinking fostered throughout the cohort. The cohort’s goals of learning React were realized and added to our commitment to fostering continuous learning in our organization. As we plan to run similar cohorts in the future, we believe investing in our team’s capabilities not only benefits individual growth but also drives the overall success of our organization and our clients.
